Terms of service

The short, honest version.

This is a summary of the service agreement every customer signs. The signed contract is the binding document; if anything here differs from it, the contract wins.

What you get

Each GPS unit comes with 12 months of technical support from the day we activate it. You get mobile and computer access to the tracking portal 24 hours a day for up to 10 users: live location, status, mileage and speed (updated every 15 seconds), route replay and mileage comparison, and email alerts when a vehicle moves or enters or leaves a place you choose. Alert settings can be customised on request at no extra cost during the first year. About a month before the 12 months end we’ll email you a renewal.

What it costs

GPS unit $150 per unit. Installation $50 per unit. Monitoring $25 per unit per month. All prices in Barbados dollars. Data overage fees could apply if usage ever exceeded the allocated data plan — in practice this has never happened. Promotional offers (like the Independence 60/60 offer) replace these charges for the period stated in the offer, after which standard pricing applies.

How you pay

By cheque or bank transfer, using the details on your invoice. If a payment is more than 30 days past its due date the service may be suspended or terminated.

Using the service

The service is for lawful purposes only and may not be resold. It is not transferable: if a vehicle with a unit installed is no longer operational, or is sold or handed over, you must have the unit removed or ask us to deactivate it before the transfer. If you have removed a unit yourself, please notify us as soon as possible so we can update our records.

Suspension and termination

We can suspend or end the service without notice for good cause — for example unpaid amounts, a breach of the agreement, interference with the service, or unlawful use — and if the cellular or internet services the trackers rely on are interrupted or discontinued. Otherwise either of us can end the agreement at any time with at least four weeks’ written notice. The agreement runs for 12 months and can be extended in writing.

Governing law

The agreement is governed by the laws of Barbados.
